In 2009, the fan film “The Hunt for Gollum” captivated Lord of the Rings devotees with its impressive production values and faithful adaptation of Tolkien’s vast fantasy world. Now more than 15 years after the events of the original, a new trailer promises an even more perilous journey as the hunt for elusive Gollum resumes.
The brief glimpses of this first trailer establish a tone of greater tension and urgency compared to the more contemplative approach of the previous edition. We are immediately plunged back into the bumpy and turbulent landscapes of Middle Earth, the camera lingering in ominous shadows and treacherous terrains that herald the dangers to come.
